Now is the time for people interested in forming a committee to start getting together.

Jeff Annon, the current president, will not be heading up the 2010 recall. If anyone is interested in getting things started, you can contact me to post to the website and help get the word out.

This is a good time to start forming the committee before the holidays and then hit it after the holidays.

The reunion takes a lot of work to organize and the more people involved, the easier it is.

This is just some advice to anyone thinking about helping out. I've been involved for several years and am removing myself from most of the planning and organizing. I will still maintain the website and have plans to grow the site, but that's about as far as I want to go anymore.

The 16th annual reunion of Deep Sea Divers was a huge success. Thank you to all the sponsors, to everyone who showed up and supported at the various fundraisers/functions, and to everyone attending the Recall.

Special recognition needs to go to Jeff Annon and Becky Jones for organizing the vendors and sponsors for this years reunion, Becky Jones and Bob Schwartz for manning the merchandise table all day, and Linda Annon, Tracy Mabry, and Lisa Robarts for handling the entrance all day.

The band Slackdog rocked the house and even played an extra hour. We would like the thank all the guys of Slackdog for putting on a great show, putting up with a lot of drunk hard partying divers, and the rain. You can visit their MySpace page at www.myspace.com/slackdogrocks.

We would like to extend a special thank you to the president of the Fleet Reserve Association Branch 40, Mike Diaz. He installed all the electricty and water hook ups to the campsites and he was the man with the boomin' trailer before the band Slackdog came on.

The weather was pretty typical for a Recall event, beautiful day and rainy night. The rain made for a messy trip to the beer truck but also brought everyone together under the tents where Slackdog was jamming. Oh well, work wet, play wet!
